Lake Livingston is an 82,600 ac. reservoir on the Trinity River. It spreads
into four counties, Polk, Trinity, San Jacinto and Walker, and it stretches 52 miles long,
and has a 452 mile timbered shoreline devoted mainly to recreation. There are many
private, public, and state facilities.
"Water Wonderland" of good fishing, watersports, recreation, with a host of
lakeside parks, camps and marinas offering a complete range of services for camping,
boating, and fishing, including Lake Livingston State Park.
Fishermen take all native game species, plus trophy specimens of Florida bass and huge
stripers. Popular area for Winter Texans. Between Huntsville and Livingston on US 190, and
Trinity on Hwy 19. Hunting area! Crappie tournament late in Spring.
